Driver Inspector

To consistently provide efficient and effective vehicle inspection products and services to customers. All vehicle inspectors are responsible for consistently achieving quality and delivery outputs in line with our SLA’s and targets

Driver

To ensure the efficient and timely collection and delivery whilst adhering to all policy and legislation, proving customer service excellence at all times

The following role is whilst you are working as a Vehicle Inspectors

  • Efficiently and accurately carrying out inspections as allocated, including scheduling of work and carrying out appraisals
  • Efficiently and cost effectively plan and co-ordinate your daily workload, taking into account geography and resource available
  • Accurately identify and image damage on all vehicle types to publish standards, customers procedures and SLA’s
  • Report and recommend most appropriate repair methods for damage identified and accurately estimate cost
  • Interaction with customers as appropriate, to give information regarding inspections as and when required to demonstrate vehicle information to support inter departmental process in a timely manner
  • Control and collection and delivery of vehicle at the correct destination, in line with customers requirement and key business KPI’s
  • To be central point of contact for the drivers to cascade information to the assigned team as necessary. This will mean ensuring that communications are accurate, inclusive and timely and that regular contact is made with direct reposts
  • To deliver customer service in line with company policy

The following role is whilst you are working as a Driver

  • To carry out single car collections and delivers in a timely and efficient manner as directed
  • To complete accurate collection / delivery reports, in line with company and customer requirements
  • To provide customer service excellence at all times in line with standards
  • Responsible for ensuring reporting of all vehicle accidents, damages and faults in a timely manner in line with company policy
  • To complete any relevant administration, as required
  • Ensure all customers vehicles and their property such as spare wheels, radios, etc. are secure at all times
  • Follow HSE policy and use PPE as necessary

Functional Skills e.g. Leadership capability, KPI’s, Account Management Customer Service etc.

  • Able to cope well under pressure and work effectively within a team
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadline
  • Basic mechanical knowledge an advantage
  • Computer literate - able to use hand held device
  • Knowledge of vehicle derivatives
  • Good verbal and written communications skills
  • Competent knowledge of operating computers
  • Technical vehicle inspection knowledge
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to drive a variety of vehicles with different start-up procedures and transmissions in a safe manner
  • Able to deal with customer complaints and defuse difficult situations in a calm manner
  • Able to work as part of a team and on your own to achieve team goals
  • Able to use your initiative and be flexible and adapt quickly to change
