Driver To ensure the safety of clients and to actively ensure that all safeguarding procedures are followed and concerns are raised.

Occasionally clients may exhibit difficult behaviour and drivers must be able to sensitively manage these behaviours

The Driver will be expected to adopt a flexible attitude to the duties which may have to be varied after discussion, subject to the needs of the service and in keeping with the general profile of the post.

Experience:

Essential

Experience of working with clients with complex needs.

Experience of handling difficult situations where clients with complex behavioural

issues are 'triggered’ and their behaviour needs to be managed.

D1 driving licence (or a willingness to secure one).

Educational achievements, Qualifications, Training and Knowledge:

Desirable

The post holder will be required to undertake the following training:

- Safeguarding

- Health and Safety

- MiDAS Accessible (Mini Bus Driver Awareness Scheme) (includes securing of people travelling in Wheelchairs)

- PATS (Passenger Assistant Training Scheme)

- 5 steps to safety

- OCC mandatory online learning courses
