Every child deserves a childhood that is safe, happy and secure, but 1 in 5 children in UK have been exposed to domestic abuse in some way.

Following our clients successful application to BBC Children in Need, they are looking for two new members of staff to join their team and work with disadvantaged children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse. The successful applicants will be based at their refuges in Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme and this is an exciting opportunity to deliver a new project and help change lives.

With an in-depth understanding of the effects of domestic abuse on children and young people you will deliver age-appropriate group programmes, alongside one-to-one support providing positive experiences and advocacy through a range of social, therapeutic, learning and development activities. You will also identify additional support needs, manage any safeguarding concerns and work within a multi agency framework to deliver the best service possible.

If you have the qualification required, excellent listening skills, lots of initiative, the ability to manage your own time and work flexibly to suit the needs of their children and young people, they’d love you to apply for this opportunity with purpose.
