£ 28,000 - £ 32,000 Salary dependant on experience.

My Client is an Engineering Construction Company serving the Power Generation industry with world class engineering for over 40 years. They have worked on projects all over the world and they are a very friendly and supportive company to work in.

The main responsibilities for this role - Document Controller ( Construction experience an advantage, A Level Standard, IT Skills, Accurate Documentation Checking, Diligent Checking Procedures )

Checking all incoming documents against notification of transmittals.

Maintaining registers for all documents on the project, including but not limited to drawings, specifications, quality plans, company quality procedures, sub-contractor quality procedures, transmittals, technical queries and concessions.

Where computerised registers are maintained ensuring information is reflective of latest issue.

Date received stamping all incoming documentation.

Checking that all drawings and specifications are stamped "Approved for Construction" or any other such legend.

Maintaining copies of all master documents including superseded documents.

Issuing copies of all documents received to the appropriate departments and maintaining records of issue

Ensuring all documents that are changed/modified are controlled as above, with all superseded documents being retrieved and destroyed.

Assisting as necessary in formulation of final certification and system handover packages.

Tracking RFI`s and ensuring that the relevant parties are aware of the outstanding RFI`s and ensure they are being responded to in a timely manner.

Receiving documentation from contractors and ensuring they are correctly stored on the electronic document control software.

Skills required for this role - Document Controller ( Construction experience an advantage, A Level Standard, IT Skills, Accurate Documentation Checking, Diligent Checking Procedures )

The key focus is the attention to detail and accuracy as all duties are auditable. A background of working on projects on construction sites would be fantastic as it is quite unique work and experience of working in a fast paced environment would be ideal. Education wise, A-level standard would be acceptable (A - C`s). Essential to have good IT skills for this role.
