Distribution Account Manager

Due to expansion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Internal Account Manager to join an established and rapidly expanding IT distributor based in Newbury.

  1. MAJOR PURPOSE OF ROLE

To perform an office-based sales role - handling inbound sales calls, selling pro-actively to companies managed customer accounts, supporting general sales across the customer base and developing new business. Deliver a targeted gross profit through effective sales and relationship management.

  1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· To be the first point of telephone contact for customers calling the companies sales desk, providing sales quotations, fielding pre-sales queries and advising on pricing, part numbers and configuration as required.

· Following up sales leads and other business generation activities.

· To support all sales efforts to unallocated accounts in co-ordination with the other members of the internal sales team.

· To champion specific vendors.

· To promote all company products within target accounts, in particular using support from company product managers to drive new products into the customer base.

· To work with product managers and technical staff on responses to tenders and quotations.

· To provide regular sales forecasts and sales pipeline information to the Sales Director.

· To build and maintain strong relationships with customers through regular contact, both in face-to-face meetings and remotely, seeking and developing high quality new business opportunities wherever possible

Along with a solid basic salary of 24-26k my client offers an uncapped commission structure which will take your earnings to 40k and beyond.
