Display Screen Equipment Assessor

To undertake suitable and sufficient display screen equipment workstation assessments in compliance with the Display Screen Equipment Regulations to Macro`s Client, Standard Chartered Bank at their Basinghall Office in London.

To identify risks to the individual staff including musculoskeletal and/ or risks to the organisation and ensure adequate control measures.


  • Undertake client account workstation assessments in compliance with Mace Macro QHSE policies, procedures, guidance notes and standards
  • Understand client account display screen equipment workstation assessment processes, in line with the Health and Safety policy and procedures
  • Knowledge and Understanding of client account DSE database software.
  • Identify all workstation risk factors to individuals and the wider organisation
  • Identify, implement and escalate controls measures for all identified risk factors
  • Liaise with relevant client departments including H&S, Operations, HR and/ or Occupational Health provider to ensure adequate control measures, escalation and referrals
  • Ensure remedial actions are implemented in a timely manner
  • Provide individual detailed workstation assessment reports and information including remedial actions, and ensure all information exists on client DSE database and/or hard copy as required
  • Manage records, files (electronic and hard copy) and systems to comply with client procedures
  • Provide required client account management reporting, statistics and key performance indicator information on DSE assessment process in a timely manner
  • Update and co-ordinate any client DSE policies, guidance and standards against legislative or best practise requirements
  • Assist and coordinate DSE information in relation to required annual account audit
  • Participate in the development of new standards (in line with corporate standards) and ensure ongoing compliance
  • Assist and undertake DSE training of individuals
  • Attend any meetings or forums as required
  • Analyse results of DSE reporting, audits, corrective actions, statistics, etc. to ensure a continual improvement approach
  • Ensure DSE communication on system updates, legislation changes, and/or other business updates
  • Communicate and support Account QHSE KPIs, objectives and targets


  • Understand and support Macro’s growth and development
  • Highlight any risks that may damage Macro’s reputation or financial standing and suggest mitigating actions
  • Have a proactive approach to activities and work to support the account team
  • Liaise and communicate with Macro and Mace teams, site teams, supply chain and service partners



The job holder must have:

Health and Safety facilities experience

Excellent levels of verbal and written skills

Microsoft Office user experience (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)

Excellent organisational and planning skills

Excellent Customer Service skills

Approachable and committed to team working

Positive 'Can Do’ attitude

High level of personal organisation and self-motivation

Excellent attention to detail


The job holder must have:

Good educational background

Advanced DSE risk assessment

Ergonomics & Human Factors

Accident/loss investigation & evidence gathering

Train the trainer in Lifting & Manual handling

Moving & Handling awareness

The job holder would be at an advantage if they have:

NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health

Institute of Ergonomics & Human Factors membership
