Job Purpose and Summary:
As a Territory Account Manager, you'll develop and manage existing accounts and drive to expand into new customers within the Digital Graphic Solutions (DGS) traditional markets, such as Signage, POS materials, Graphic Arts, Commercial Printers and specifically unique industrial print applications.
This is a Field role, where you'll be developing new business whilst expanding our Machines in Force (MIF) within existing customers offering new and additional products to maintain our clients competitive edge in an aggressive yet growing market.
This role is predominantly a NEW BUSINESS role, to grow and expand our business - finding new customers, build and maintain relationship with existing and understanding their needs, identify new opportunities and translate these into Canon products and services.
You'll make an active contribution to the short and long term unit, margin and revenue targets of the Canon organisation by selling products and services and realise optimal customer satisfaction. You'll also be a strong ambassador to Canon on customer visits, exhibitions etc you attend.

Optimising Salesforce.com to maintain accurate record of past and future activities, contacts and any relevant information, as well as to provide accurate forecasting and strong opportunity / pipeline management, you'll co-ordinate and engage with relevant internal parties such as Service Colleagues and Application Managers to support the customer and drive the business toward its objectives. You'll also assist customers to achieve their objectives, by selecting relevant Canon products and will promote how Canon can add value through our established knowledge and strengths in a competitive market.
Effectively plan and organise your workload including coordinating with all DGS team colleagues whilst agreeing all important activities and actions with the Head of Sales, UK & Ireland.

What We Ask:
You'll have strong analytical and performance monitoring skills - keeping ahead of progress against key performance indicators through the preparation of sales plans performance, through key milestone stages, identify,target and win New Business opportunities.
You'll have experience of sales cycles that are between 3-9 months and with a high contract value.
Being a comptetent B2B sales person, you'll have proven experience in selling technical solutions to businesses to secure new business.
Whilst you may not have come from the print industry, experience in selling capital equipment sales would be most beneficial. Training will be given on Canon's products and software.
A full driving licence to drive in the UK is essential.
Maths & English Language GCSE Grade A to C ideally or equivalent as a minimum.
Competent skills in Microsoft Office including Excel are required. Oracle knowledge useful but can be trained.
