Dispensing Device Consultant - Healthcare - Cambridge
A growing company, based in Cambridge, who has a reputation of inventing a range of leading healthcare and consumer technologies are currently looking for a Consultant to help attract and manage client relationships and help with the invention and development of new healthcare dispensing devices.
Based in Cambridge, you will work alongside a team of design engineers, mechanical engineers and physicists. Alongside this team, you will identify new organisations to approach and work with to invent new dispensing technologies.
Although we say within the healthcare sector, you will also work on consumer products such as aerosols, cream dispensers and other consumable products alongside drug delivery technologies on the healthcare front. There will be a link up with another are of the business that look into connectivity and brand loyalty, for instance the technologies you will help bring to market would be created in a way where refills are ordered in a quick and direct manner.
As a consultant role this is a commercially focused position, so there will be an element of business development and gaining extra business from existing clients. However, this is more of a peer-to-peer consultative approach, so more like having a discussion about ideas and then offering to help with the development. We find a lot of technically minded people enjoy this type of role.
Due to the technical peer-to-peer approach you will take, you will need to have had an R&D background in the past and helped with the invention and development of complex dispensing technologies either for the consumer market or the medical devices sector.
If you are already in a consultant, business development or technical sales role it would be beneficial but as I mentioned earlier, we find technical people really enjoy making the move also. So we will be more than happy to hear from you if you are a mechanical engineer, electronics engineer, physicist or another technical role where you have been involved in inventing and developing consumer dispensing, drug delivery or other similar technologies.
As you would have come from a technical background, it is likely that you would have a degree within a relevant subject. A PhD would be advantageous, but not essential.
You will be rewarded with an excellent salary, bonus and benefits package. Apart from this, this company like to develop people's knowledge and career, so you can expect to be continually challenged and developed throughout the sector and new technologies.
We ideally would like someone to start sooner rather than later, so interviews are already being arranged. This being said, if you have a long notice period we would still be happy to hear from you as it is important to hire the right person.
