Wakefield - Up to £28K - Mon - Fri 8.30-5.30

Would you be interested in joining a growing, award winning team? Our client, a best-in class IT Services and Telecoms Provider with offices across the UK, are currently recruiting for an IT Disaster Recovery Technician to ensure that the Business Recovery Centre is presentable and operationally fit.

As the IT Disaster Recovery Technician you will be responsible for providing technical support to customers during rehearsals and invocations, attend pre-test meetings, complete pre and post-test documentation, provide a fail-over resource, ensure functionality of all site facilities (i.e. air con, lighting, UPS, generator etc.) and be part of an on-call rota.

We are looking for someone with the following skills & experience:

  • Intel/Windows desktop support including use of Symantec Ghost
  • Proven fault finding and diagnostic skills
  • Proven experience working in an IT Continuity environment
  • Experience of Disaster Recovery ideally in a DR site

This position is ideal for someone with some experience in Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity in a Business and IT environment, and understanding of DR principles and recovery plans / testing activities.
