Whether you're ready for a change immediately or in the near future, we are looking for qualified Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Paramedics and Nurses with clinical knowledge and experience for an exciting new unique homebased PIP Disability Assessor opportunity that allows you to continue to nurture your empathy for people as a key worker from home.
You will draw on your experience as a clinical expert to support the assessment and examination of individuals with disabilities and illnesses who are making claims for Personal Independence Payment benefit (PIP), which is paid to make a contribution to the extra costs that disabled people may face, to help them lead full, active and independent lives.
Daily duties Include:

  • Managing a caseload of 15 - 20 cases and managing your workload autonomously to review and close claims within dedicated timescales.
  • Contacting individuals over the phone on a daily basis to seek further medical evidence or clarity to understand how the health condition is impacting day to day ability to complete tasks.
  • Analysing and interpreting supporting medical evidence and information.
  • Your analysis during each consultation will be captured in a report

This position is permanent with both full and part time positions and various start dates available. We will provide all the training you will need to transition into this new role as a Disability Assessor through a (Fully paid) 25-week induction programme with ongoing peer support from a range of health professionals.

  • Salary £35,000 + OTE and clear progression structure
  • Homeworking: 37.5 hours/w (no weekends, nights or Bank Holiday's). Flexible hours between 8am - 6pm.
  • Full training provided: in-house development is well over the required CPD hours to revalidate and maintain your professional clinical registration.

Essential requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Paramedic or Nurse
  • HCPC / NMC registered
