Director of Learning and Development - Central London

Our client, an international, market-leading recruitment business based in the heart of London, is actively recruiting for an experienced and professional Head of Learning and Development, to join the set-up and handle the training strategy across the full spectrum of the business. This is a key position in the business, where involvement in employee progression, management and group training are key features, along with strong analytical skills on how to improve training processes.

Main responsibilities:

  • Delivering staff appraisals in accordance with company policy - involving probation periods and promotions
  • Improving and modifying the L&D programme, taking strategic inputs from senior management
  • Reinforcing and implementing the high-performance culture of the business
  • Handling management information and performance reports - in-depth detail involves staff turnover, cost-per-hire and training hours per person
  • Delivering training to all levels of the organisation
  • Able to advise and influence senior managers along with key stakeholders

Required Experience:

  • Strong background in a professional and corporate environment delivering a high-level of training
  • Must have experience working in a learning and development/training function of a recruitment business
  • Strong organisation and structural awareness, being able to prioritise company needs and meet deadlines
