Director of Credit required for a leading FTSE 250 business in the North West. Package £65,000 - £90,000
Your new company
You will be working for a leading FMCG based here in the North West, within easy commute of Manchester. This business is part of a large corporate group; you will have the opportunity to join the Senior Management Team following significant structural changes, and capital investment.
Your new role
The key focus of this role will be to lead departmental strategy and performance within a large Credit and Risk team. Reporting directly into the CFO, you will drive high standards within your teams, working closely with your managers to instil a culture of high performance within the teams along with ensuring management strive to recognise key achievers.
You will be a key stakeholder within the business, and much of your work will be with internal departments; looking to improve the order to cash process. You will need to have the gravitas to influence various departments, and change ways in which Credit and Risk is perceived internally.
In this job you will play central role in protecting the business from unacceptable levels of commercial risk, along with ensuring sufficient cash flow for the business to continue it's acquisitive approach. You will ensure robust policies and processes are in place across the teams, and making sure these are followed at all times without fail. This position will not only see you as a core part of the finance department, but directly influencing and directing key commercial decisions in the business!
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your application you will need to have a proven track record of managing large credit departments, ideally including a risk function within that. Previous experience working with exec/board level to influence and guide on commercial decisions will be a key skills which my client is looking for. With a large team, the softer people skills are something which will ensure that you not only achieve your KPI's, but also get buy in from your teams and the wider business.
