Position Description Overview:


Regulatory
Compliance Director


First Data is seeking an experienced professional with
strong Regulatory Compliance experience to fill the role of Head of Regulatory
Compliance for UK.


In this role the individual will be
responsible for;


Overseeing and managing UK´s Business
Units’ regulatory compliance processes, projects, or programs; perform in-depth and more complex research, fact gathering and analysis; and is
routinely involved in addressing regulatory compliance, licensing, business and
reporting matters.This position is responsible
for managing responses to examinations by UK Business Units.


Requirements:

·Assess and determine
appropriate resolution actions relating to challenging regulatory compliance
issues arising from Business Unit queries, testing & monitoring results,
changes in regulatory compliance regulations, non-compliance with relevant
First Data Policies and procedures.


·Liaises with General Managers regarding their Business Unit’s
adherence to regulatory compliance obligations and promotes their associated
actions to support effective delivery of First Data’s 3 Lines of Defense
Regulatory Compliance Program.


·Determine if and when to
escalate significant issues to the EMEA Regulatory Compliance Head, Regulatory
Compliance senior management, appropriate legal counsel and/or Business Unit
personnel.


·Identify, research, analyze
regulatory compliance laws and regulations, and write business requirements to
ensure Business Unit regulatory compliance obligationsare met (includes working closely with
clients and internal departments to clearly understand and address business
problems and client issues).

·Supports delivery of
cross-organizational regulatory compliance related projects. Supports

business
and system regulatory compliance development.


·Minimum 8 years regulatory,
Financial Crimes, AML or risk management experience gained within a financial
institution or regulator. Previous experience interacting with local regulatory
agencies and leading regulatory exams.


·Strong compliance background in merchant
acquiring and financial services. Previous compliance experience in new payment
methods preferred. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish
credibility and strong partnerships with business partners and clients when
required.


·Ability to collaborate in a
team based environment across functional disciplines and lines of business.


·    Strong analytical,
problem-solving and organizational skills and the ability to manage several simultaneous projects.


·Excellent business judgment
and strategic thinking.


·Proven ability to
communicate effectively at all levels both orally and in writing.
