Digital & Social Media Executive (9 month maternity contract)


£20000 - £28000

Rocking Zebra recruitment is currently looking for a Digital & Social Media Executive to support the Product and Marketing Team in the delivery of projects ensuring they are planned to achieve specific timescales and deadlines. To ensure all activity is aligned to corporate strategy and meets the financial and brand objectives

Day to Day Tasks and Role Responsibilities

  • Use of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ensuring projects are planned and executed in accordance with agreed deadlines and timescales
  • Assist in the creation of social media content and manage social media related tools and platforms
  • Coordination of social media in relation with the UK marketing team.
  • Manage social media related tools and platforms
  • Analyse digital social media needs and its outcome/results with all sectors.
  • Create, follow up and report KPI across social media functions
  • Assist digital marketing manager to create and nurture relations with bloggers and influencers (with the support of PR)
  • Effectively manage the design and production of sales support resources, including literature, case studies, training materials
  • Design and manage digital marketing campaigns including outbound and inbound digital campaigns within all marketing channels
  • Design and management of website and intranet updates to manage external communications
  • Prospect/Customer database management, including segmentations, analysis and cleansing
  • On-time implementation of marketing design work and tactical activities in line with the operating plans and budgets
  • Ensure compliance to corporate branding guidelines as defined by the corporate Brand Council
  • Liaising with external suppliers/partners in support of product and marketing plans
  • Ensuring all legal statements and brand registration statement are included, where necessary
  • Raising and processing orders with vendors
  • A willingness to be hands on and work closely with a variety of stakeholders with varying and/or limited understanding of web metrics will be required

Specific Knowledge

  • Thorough knowledge of Search Engine Advertising/Search Engine Marketing including campaign creation and optimisation including on-page optimisation and link building techniques
  • Experience using an email marketing system
  • Experience with Google web analytics. Experience with other web analytics tools beneficial
  • Experience with marketing automation software is an advantage
  • Excellent communications and writing skills
  • Excellent project management skills, including organising, prioritising and tracking all phases of a project
  • Execution focussed-delivery of plans in accordance with deadlines
  • Passion and marketing flair and creativity

Professional Experience

  • PC and Mac literate - ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel
  • Full knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • 2+ years’ experience with search engine marketing: including developing and running pay-per-click campaigns as well as conducing organic search engine optimisation
  • 1+ year experience managing e-mail marketing campaigns including development of email and tracking and analysis of results
  • 1+ year experience developing and optimising landing pages for both email and PPC campaigns
  • In-depth experience in B2B e-marketing or marketing communications, as well as channel or industrial e-marketing
  • Working experience in a multi-product environment preferable
  • Experience in on-line marketing, e-based brand awareness and social networks
  • Familiarity with online testing tools, (Google Content Experiences, Web trends optimise, Visual /Website, etc)
  • Proven track record of growing leads and sales through online marketing

  • Marketing degree or Business degree with a focus on digital marketing
  • Able to demonstrate a clear understanding of digital marketing and social media and its impact on business
