The Digital Project Manager Role

Our client has an extensive portfolio of successful publishing properties that exist on a variety of content management systems.

The Technology Team (Product, Brand, Design, Development) in collaboration with the Publishing Team is hard at work building a single, scalable, performance driven system to enable efficient content delivery.

They are looking for a highly motivated Project Manager to work with the Product Manager to help the Publishing Team deliver on their roadmap.

You will manage projects in three key areas:

  • Migration of existing properties to the new publishing platform
  • Integration & Evolution of Acquisitions
  • Creation of new properties / products to drive continued revenue growth

Responsibilities of the Digital Project Manager

As a Project Manager you will manage their Publishing Technology Projects from inception to delivery, alongside assisting the Publishing Team's Senior Management to build a robust business case for all required work.

A vital aspect of this role involves ensuring that the highest value opportunities are selected for delivery, and all relevant stakeholders are kept abreast of the project's progress. You will also have the ability to continuously improve the overall project management process.

The Ideal Digital Project Manager Candidate

  • Is detail oriented with a burning desire to deliver successful projects.
  • Is able to quickly establish their authority within the organisation.
  • Is able to think in terms of both the technical and the business problem.
  • Has experience of delivering large web sites.
  • Has practical experience of agile and lean methodologies.
  • Has a good knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Has a good understanding of SEO.
  • May have a CSM/CSPO/CSPM certification.
  • May have digital publishing/authoring experience.
  • May have software/site testing experience.
