Role Summary

As a Digital Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the creation, execution and development of a mixture of digital, social media and traditional marketing programmes for the Embark Group and its market brands. Your role will involve the design, development and implementation of campaigns alongside the Head of Digital Marketing.

You will work as part of a small but highly visible team and you will focus on leading and delivering marketing initiatives aligned with our growth priorities. As an experienced marketer, you will be creative and innovative, and able to communicate key messages to a diverse audience. You will understand the commercial outcomes sought and translate this into marketing activity. The role requires you to have excellent influencing and communication skills in order to be credible and make an impact on senior stakeholders, as well as the ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Group’s strategic business drivers.

You will be required to create and/or curate content in the form of video, blogs and thought leadership pieces, and will be responsible for pushing this out on our social media channels and Employee Engagement App.

You will be enabled, and expected, to independently seek opportunities to develop and enhance the Embark Group brand and will have a passion to learn and develop. Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for creating and implementing marketing initiatives for the Embark Group and its market brands - primarily in the digital space.
  • Creating and curating content (video and written), ensuring it is relevant, timely and accurate, aligned to the Group strategy and our growth priorities.
  • Publishing content on our social media channels and Employee Engagement App.
  • Initiating ideas and strategies to maximise engagement with our target audiences via digital channels.
  • Managing several projects concurrently, ensuring deadlines are met and budgets managed.
  • Overseeing and managing the creative development process, utilising the services of external suppliers.
  • Managing website updates and publishing content for specific campaigns and initiatives.
  • Measuring the success of marketing campaigns, analysing metrics and using the insight to refine our messaging and approach.
  • Syndicating and reporting PR coverage to the Board via a regular eNewsletter.

Delivering excellence is no easy task, particularly when you are transforming a business. So we’re looking for someone with the right experience and behaviours to join our team. As well as this, you will need to have:

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Significant experience using current marketing tools and techniques, especially social media (gained in-house or agency side).

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation.

  • Established experience and track record in financial services marketing.

  • Excellent project management skills are a must, as is a proven track record in content development and multi-channel marketing.

  • Experience of customer journey mapping would be an advantage.

  • Client management skills - the ability to take a brief and develop relevant digital solutions.

  • Independent judgment to determine project guidelines, purpose, follow-through and completion.

  • Some exposure to Analytical tools, Wordpress or other CMS systems.

  • Demonstrable business savviness - the capacity to balance multiple, sometimes competing demands and drive results.

  • A sense of urgency to meet client needs.

  • An ability to collaborate effectively with multiple partners within the Group businesses.

  • An eye for design.

  • 4yrs+ copywriting and/or digital experience.

  • Graduate calibre preferred.
