Digital Marketing Manager

Working in a fast-paced online retail business based in Lincoln, the Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for driving new and existing customers to the company's e-commerce site and converting shoppers into customers. You will have the responsibility of managing a large budget and get to work with some of the best Ecommerce people in the industry. The key areas of focus for this role will be the digital marketing channels. New customer acquisition is the primary objective of this role with customer retention and engagement as a close second.


Accountable for all areas of digital marketing in a performance-related capacity, coordinating all digital facets overall company brands;

Lead, coach and support the Digital Marketing Team in all day to day activities, plans, and overall strategy;

Plan and execute the overall digital marketing strategy in order to achieve performance targets;

Plan, implement and have overall responsibility for SEM (Search Engine Marketing) -All platforms including Google AdWords, Bing, Social Media Paid Ads

Optimise, support and have overall responsibility for Affiliates performance;

Manage and oversee implementation, and responsibility of performance on SEO strategy - inclusive of:

  • Content
  • Social Media
  • Outreach
  • Technical SEO

Responsible for the overall management of the UK e-commerce website inclusive of:

  • The company's UK website and sub-brands, existing and upcoming
  • Page optimisation for key landing pages and other content pages
  • Increase performance
  • Maintenance and updating campaigns
  • Overall responsibility for website;

Optimise, support and have overall responsibility for all shopping channels, online marketplaces, and daily deal websites;

Manage and oversee the email marketing campaigns;

Work with 3rd party stakeholders to optimise campaigns;

Report to the Managing Director sales progress, any issues or barriers arising from given sales campaigns, and presenting initiatives;

Manage marketing budgets and allocating financial resource where required;

Shares knowledge, experience and expertise with colleagues, key clients, customer and third parties;

Miscellaneous ad hoc duties where applicable.

Liaison with: Affiliates, Marketplaces, Suppliers and 3rd party agencies, clients and customers, company colleagues, associated companies


A strong digital marketer with extensive knowledge and experience in e-commerce. Heading up the digital marketing department with the overall responsibility of all areas and channels of digital marketing.

Requirements of the Role:

Demonstrable digital marketing background - minimum 5 years’ experience in management level;

Experience within the B2C market;

Knowledge of access tools and various digital marketing software tools;

Results driven, used to working to targets and KPI’s - performance driven role;

Evidence of hands-on experience in:

  • SEO
  • PPC
  • E-commerce platforms (shopping channels such as Amazon, eBay etc.)
  • Email Marketing
  • Affiliates and Partnerships
  • Social Media
  • Digital marketing strategy
  • Leadership

Personal Qualities and Specific Skills:

  • Degree level preferred but not essential;
  • Excellent internal and external communication skills - both verbal and written;
  • Commercially minded and focused;
