Digital Marketing Manager / Audience Development Manager - Global Publishing, London

Great opportunity to join this global B2B publishing brand, based in Central London, as a Digital Marketing Manager / Audience Development Manager.

Reporting to the Marketing Director, you will take a lead role in driving the strategy to acquire & engage targeted audiences to meet and exceed traffic and audience demographic goals in the research area of the business.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Experience with, and a passion for, digital audience development & content marketing, social media, building brand community and loyalty
  • Exposure to database management and reporting tools, Marketing automation tools and CRMs (preferably Salesforce.com)
  • Digital marketing experience and in Email, Social Media Marketing, SEO, SEM and web analytics (Google Analytics and / or other Web Analytics packages)
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to use data from multiple sources to gain insights and help drive decisions
  • A track record of working with marketing and sales teams to manage data for the development and execution of outbound and inbound campaigns
  • Prior experience with website and digital property launches a plus
  • Proficient in excel and knowledge (including design) or survey systems
  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, advertising; or the equivalent work experience

Key responsibilities:

Audience Development & Engagement

  • Help deliver an audience development strategy, leveraging all platforms & touchpoints, ensuring consistent & targeted messaging
  • Build and maintain relationships with partners that can supplement meaningful and repeat -visitors
  • Find & assess overlap & opportunity in audience/customers across all products
  • Collaborate with editorial, marketing, sales and creative teams to create content marketing campaigns based on editorial calendar
  • Implement global search & social strategies across all online properties (online, mobile, email)
  • Implement, test and optimize traffic driving initiatives like paid/organic search, social campaigns and content campaigns
  • Research, create and understand the key personas to target by brand
  • Track, report and improve set KPIs decided with senior stakeholders in the business

Audience Data & Optimization

  • Optimize the online registration process to support demographic profiling, conversion and data insight requirements
  • Discover opportunities to build audiences outside of the company database & community - including where necessary, third party lists & partnerships
  • Conduct audience research to mine for insights to support client demands, drill down on audience demographics and tap new markets for custom and Thought Leadership advertising

Business Development & Research Support

  • Planning, design and production of collateral covering all channels of delivery
  • Assist with development and execution of custom digital/mobile marketing programs, including strong communication with sales, production, edit and creative teams
  • Participate in ideation and development of marketing programs/platforms
  • Work closely with the research team around any web-based questionnaires and surveys

Key Deliverables

  • Drive a high quality, targeted audience
  • Increase/improve engagement metrics and agreed upon KPI’s of audiences
  • Meet & exceed audience demographic goals of internal stakeholders as well as clients
  • Engage new audiences and markets to grow the community and increase penetration in key markets
  • Conduct research to draw insights from audience data to make best recommendations to help drive sales

The salary level for the role is up to 40k with a £3k Bonus and Full Benefits on top.
