A large IT technology group based on the outskirts of Manchester requires a digitally savvy marketer to work in a diverse marketing team, to drive their online campaigns. This group is comprised of several market leading brands and due to continued success, they are looking to grow their in-house marketing team.
The key focus is to take ownership for delivering online marketing tactics, in particular, social media and email marketing. You will plan and deliver email marketing campaigns and automated workflows, including the creation of email templates in HTML and maintain an email marketing calendar that supports wider marketing campaigns. You will also manage multiple databases and excel files, segmenting audiences and retargeting as appropriate, and deliver a social media strategy which is both paid and organic. This social aspect will involve the creation of graphics and infographics to support social media initiatives and delivery of blog content, by using SproutSocial to schedule posts and reports. From time to time, you will also be responsible for coaching, training and driving staff across the company on social media usage - make their success your success, as well as building relationships with internal staff, suppliers and designers.
What we're looking for
It is essential you have a relevant degree in marketing, communications or related field and at least 3 years' experience of working in a B2B marketing communications role with an emphasis on social media, e-marketing, software and design. You'll have proven use of social media and business email marketing software platforms and be comfortable with the Adobe design suite. A wider understanding of the digital mix, including a sound understanding of on-site SEO practices would be handy as well as demonstrable experience of paid social media tactics and results. Core to the role is bringing their social media channels to life and you will be expected to be creative in driving this forward in support of commercial objectives. You will also be hands-on in maintaining and delivering e-marketing campaigns and automation, reporting results and managing databases accordingly. Experience does not have to be exclusively from within the technology sector but must possess enthusiasm and a capability to deal with communicating sometimes complex technology.
