Digital Content Producer/s- Public Markets
Full Time/Part Time (21 hours) and 6 month FTC
We are looking for passionate, analytical and creative individuals with a strong desire to own and be accountable for the growth of our Public Markets sites.
A bit about us. This year Which? celebrates our 60th anniversary. We've come a long way from our humble beginnings; the first Which? magazine was published from a converted garage in Bethnal Green. Today our 1.4 million members and supporters make us the largest consumer organisation in the UK, offering a range of services to meet different needs. That's a huge number of people looking for our expert advice online, either at home or on the move.
We work hard to positively influence and shape the consumer landscape across the UK. Under new leadership, we are focussed on supporting consumers as they face life's key moments by developing services that have a positive impact on their lives.
In the Public Markets division we’re passionate about protecting consumers throughout their lives with our three free websites: Which? Birth Choice, Which? University and Which? Elderly Care.
From starting a family to looking after loved ones in their later years, it’s important to us that consumers have all the information to make the big decisions that will not just impact them, but those they care about.
Which? Public Markets is at an especially exciting stage of its development as we’re rebuilding the site from a mobile-first perspective and adding new tools to support the consumer. You will be an important part of our work in creating and launching the new websites.
What you’ll be doing:
As a Digital Content Producer, you’ll deliver engaging content across the site to drive online traffic. It’s a varied role, so one day could see you working closely with our external experts to review content or gain insights on how to improve our SEO. The next, you could be working with people across the business to promote the site through newsletters or commissioning content to support our social care campaigning.
It really is all about the content, so you need to be confident in your writing skills. You’ll make sure the information on our site is not just appealing, but also helpful and relevant. Beyond the written word, you’ll use Google Analytics to understand how consumers are interacting with the site, drawing insights from your findings to improve traffic.
Ideally you will:
Through your background you will ideally have an excellent understanding of the education sector and are well versed in tapping into the needs and interests facing prospective students. You’ll also be bringing your ideas and experience on how to successfully engage young people online, through great content and the right channels.
You’ll ideally have a background in content and the expertise to manage your time, and your stakeholders, to make sure you deliver.
What we’ll need from you:
We would like you to have experience in digital content production or content marketing with strong editorial skills. You’ll also need to have excellent attention to detail and be comfortable juggling multiple priorities.
We will need to see experience of:
- Research, writing and editing
- Creating and / or producing online content
- Building relationships
- Managing stakeholders
- Google Analytics / Web Analytics - or willingness to learn
We’d get really excited if you had experience of:
- Working with PPC
- Working with social media advertising
- Content Management Systems
- Healthcare or social care IAG content
What we’ll give you in return
Let’s not be modest, our rewards package is one of the best out there. You’ll get 28 days’ annual leave, an interest-free season ticket loan, life assurance, and a pension scheme that increases to 11% after you’ve been here for a year (should the role extend beyond 12 months).
If you have the required skills and attributes and are looking for a rewarding career in a company that really do look after their people, I want to hear from you.
