npower.com has well over 20 million visits each year and we’re looking for a Digital Content Lead to create customer-friendly content to drive even more traffic.
This is a new contract vacancy as part of a wider drive to improve digital content for our Smart meter programme. Just in case you haven’t come across them yet, Smart meters are the next generation of gas and electricity meters which show you how much energy you're using and help bring an end to estimated bills.
You’ll work with user experience and web design professionals to take your quality content right through to publication on npower.com.
As well as working with the Smart programme, you’ll be asked to provide digital content expertise to our Energy Services team, who help some of our most vulnerable customers, through energy saving schemes and initiatives.
Required skills and experience
A strong command of the English language is a must, with excellent communication skills. Your copywriting skills should include writing for online audiences and digital channels, with an understanding of how SEO and accessibility can be incorporated into digital content. You’ll also be able to adapt your writing to fit with our tone of voice and brand values.
Your stakeholder management should be first rate as people are passionate in our business regarding our digital content. You’ll be able to use your skills to guide and nurture this passion into language and content which is in tune with our brand and inclusive to the whole audience, not just a part of it.
