Digital Communications Manager
Salary: Competitive along with car/travel allowance, bonus and benefits
About the role
The Data and Communications Company (DCC) is delivering a once-in-a-generation programme to build a smart metering network for Great Britain.
Perhaps the most ambitious of its kind in the world, our network allows energy suppliers to roll out millions of smart electricity and gas meters to homes and small non-domestic properties. Funded by the energy industry, the network connects smart meters to the business systems of energy suppliers, network operators and other authorised users. It will transform how energy is supplied, give consumers greater control over their energy use and help Great Britain become a global leader in smart energy and the wider smart world.
Our network has recently gone live, a turning point in DCC's relatively short life. Working in a regulated environment, we are moving from implementing a complex solution to operating a live service while we manage multiple programmes to deliver new services. We will scale the live service to support the smart metering rollout, improve services to provide the best possible experience to users and develop services to help realise the industry transformation made possible by smart meters. This requires a shift in our activities and our ways of working.
