Our client is currently recruiting for a Digital Business Analyst to join their team in Wallingford, Oxfordshire

The role

The Digital Business Analyst will report to the Director of Online and will be responsible for working on student facing websites, gathering information from business stakeholders to produce technical requirements for the development teams, as well as supporting data analysis across the business.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about online technologies, have experience of working between technical and business teams, love working with data to make business decisions and have experience in establishing and maintaining best practices in an online publishing environment. You will work with all areas of the business in a highly respected role. The ideal candidate will be technically minded and be able to communicate clearly and persuasively to business and technical teams.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Produce user stories and technical requirements for the development team
  • Analyse various aspects of digital performance to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Deliver regular and adhoc reports for all areas of the business using various data sources
  • Skills required
  • Experience of documenting requirements using Agile methods

o Story boards

o User cases/stories

o Prioritised requirements list

o Diagrams and Mock-ups

  • Proven ability to gather requirements from various stakeholders and write technical specifications
  • Experience of working closely with and able to communicate clearly and confidently to technical experts and business users
  • Experience in UAT and web testing - before and after release
  • Data analysis skills in order to produce KPI reports and dashboards
  • Expert in web analytics including but not limited to Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager

Great to have:

  • Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS
  • Skilled in UX design and Information Architecture
  • Solid understanding of on-page and technical SEO
  • Tracking - planning, implementation and tag management
  • Experienced user of project management software, preferably JIRA
  • Experience in keyword research and SEO reporting
