Our client a manufacturing company based in the Paddock Wood area is offering a great opportunity for Digital Assistants to join their Digital Print Department on an ongoing temporary basis.
The hours of work will 9am to 5:30pm during the initial training period, however once training has been completed the hours will then revert to shift work 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm (alternating weekly).
The hourly pay rate will initially be £8.94 increasing to £12.34 when working the early and late shift pattern.
Main Aim of the Job
A member of the Digital print department, enabling it to meet proofing, sampling and production deadlines as required.
Operation of digital printer and software including media and ink replenishment.
Processing of files through RIP software
File manipulation ready for printing
Inspection and packing of finished product
Movement of samples, finished product and equipment around site
Data input into job database
This role will require some lifting up to 23kgs.
Previous working knowledge in a similar role is not essential for this position but a background in graphics, photography, printing, colour or Computer Aided Design is very beneficial.
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite would be a distinct advantage.
Knowledge of Canon Oce Arizona print or scanning equipment would be an advantage
Good colour vision and appreciation is important.
Good level of general education including Maths and English.
Mac/ PC skills
Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided. Due to the broad nature of the job role a wide range of skills will be taught including basic digital printing and related software packages, colour matching and administration.
