Dietetic Assistant

We are looking for a caring and committed person who has a strong passion for working with vulnerable care home residents, to join the community dietetic service within North West Boroughs Healthcare Trust.

This post will work closely with the team to support the review of nutritional care plans implemented within care homes across the borough of Knowsley. The knowledge and skills within this field can be taught on the job, however the passion for caring and working with the elderly must come from within.

Candidates should have a relevant NVQ in Care or appropriate AVCE in Health & Social Care, numeracy, literacy and ITQ level 2 or equivalent and should have some relevant experience in a health or social care setting.

In addition to managing a care home caseload, there is a significant role in the day to day administration required to support patients within the service. Thus candidates should have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate good written and verbal skills

The post will require travelling to various sites in the course of the duties, currently there are alternative working arrangements due to current covid-19 restrictions.

This post is subject to an enhanced check with adults barred list Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check. Successful candidates will either have a valid DBS check with the Trust or will be required to pay for the cost of the DBS Disclosure which is £47.50, the cost of which will be deducted from first salary.
