The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kings Lynn, NHS Foundation Trust is a 488 bed hospital which offering a chance to live and work in a beautiful region, close to both the coast and countryside with lower than average house prices, good amenities and good local schools, all within easy reach of Norwich, Cambridge, London and the Midlands.

We are a small, friendly, diverse department with numerous opportunities for future development, seeking applications from HCPC Registered Radiographers, preferably with NHS experience; we would also welcome applications from newly qualified Radiographers.

The department consists of:

• 4 plain film x-ray rooms

• 1 plain film room off site

• 2 CT Scanners

• 2 MRI Scanners

• 1 Gamma Camera

• 1 Fluoroscopy unit

• 1 DEXA suite

• 6 ultrasound rooms

• Dedicated Breast Imaging unit

We have a good track record of offering professional development including B5/6 progression and advanced roles including: Cross-sectional imaging, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Mammography, Reporting Radiography and Advanced Practice. Applications will be welcomed from current 3rd year Radiography students.

The successful candidate, will predominately be working in plain X-ray, imaging patients from A/E, wards, OP clinics and GP surgeries. You will need to be competent in mobile imaging, both in theatre and on the wards and also be able to undertake the occasional fluoroscopic procedure within the department. You will also be expected to contribute to out of hours duties.

You should hold a BSc (Hons) Radiography degree or equivalent and have full HCPC registration; you must also be willing to work with student and apprentice radiographers in a supervisory capacity under the guidance of the Practice Educator.

You should have an up to date CPD portfolio and be willing to undertake regular audit.
