The initial focus of the role will be to secure commercial affinity partnerships including brands, trade associations, introducers and franchisors, utilising a combination of self-sourced leads (through referrals, networking, product development and cold calling) and some provided internally. These can be in a variety of sectors including restaurants and hospitality, sports and leisure, healthcare and Professional Lines (as well as a small amount of personal lines). Once secured, the incumbent will place and administer affinity programs for their memberships and manage these relationships going forward. Therefore the balance of the role will move more towards account management and less away from new business in the long run.
Prospective candidates for this must have good commercial SME insurance knowledge coupled with experience in schemes and affinities. Business development and client servicing skills are sought and presentation/tender response experience would be advantageous.
