Development Engineer

We are recruiting a fantastic Development Engineer role to work for a Global FTSE 250 Aerospace Manufacturer based in the West Midlands. After significant investment and an increasing global order book, my client is looking for a Development Engineer who has experience in hydraulics, have compiled test reports/builds and ideally are apprentice or degree qualified. Candidates can expect full training and development in the role.

Our client is a market leading Global FTSE 250 Aerospace Manufacturer based in the West Midlands region. With an international scope and sites across the UK this is a chance to join a business who supply into a number of the world's leading OEM's. After important investment which has resulted in increased headcount across all departments, my client is now looking for a Development Engineer.


  • Compile and implement test reports for new product introduction
  • Work closely with Quality to produce First off inspection reports and assembly of qualification hardware
  • Development of assembly techniques and associated tooling to assist Production
  • Develop and implement qualification test methods, working closely with other departments
  • Development of production test methods
  • Performing qualification testing on and off site to industry standards
  • Present technical detail to the customer at all levels, liaising directly with the customer should any issues arise
  • Test rig and equipment specification


  • Minimum degree/apprentice qualified
  • Previous experience in either an Aerospace or Defence
  • Good knowledge of development products
  • Design and development background
  • Experience of building test reports and builds

Job Offer

£30,000 - £35,000 + benefits
