What could you be part of?

Here at Styles&Wood Group and Southerns Group we have some of the most talented professionals in the industry working with us. It’s the way that colleagues from across the business pull together to meet challenges head on, that proves our people really are our most valuable asset.

We have been in business for over 35 years, and earlier this year our two groups joined forces to create an end-to-end property services company. We provide a full range of specialist services to the built environment, working alongside some of the UK’s premier brands and leading blue chip organisations.

Expansion plans for 2018 require an increase to the current development team, consisting of web developers, solution architect and Technical Manager, to support the development of our internally developed and supported award winning enterprise solutions.

Where do I fit in?

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our iSite team as a C# ASP.net MVC Web Developer. You will be working within the fast paced technologies business based in our Nottingham Office. We would love for you to come along on our journey & join our friendly team.

To succeed in this role:

Under the direction of the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for the provision of the development services throughout the delivery of a project and technical support to live systems.

You will be responsible for designing and implementing a code solution, testing the resulting components, and analysing to debug errors that might exist. You may also be responsible for helping to define and create the software's architecture.

Role Requirements

Technology-wise, you will be using the Microsoft stack, focussing on ASP.Net MVC development, alongside other web technologies. At a glance, here’s the core of what you’ll need:

  • C#ASP.Net MVC
  • JavaScript/ JQuery

  • IIS
  • SQL Server

What’s in it for me?

Being a small development team, our developers strive to be generalising specialists covering all aspects of development. The working environment is excellent, both in terms of layout, but also modernity; it’s an open plan office with a funky theme, bright colours, plants, etc. it’s a really nice space to be in. We have some social events between colleagues, such as movie nights, birthday celebrations, occasional pub visits, and some of the Development team frequent local tech meetups as well! At lunch times, you can go for a walk or picnic in the park around the corner, visit the tuck shop, play on their pool table or games console!

We believe that happy employees produce great work. So that’s why we devised a flexible benefit scheme; LifeStyles, that works around individuals.

Some of the standard benefits include:
