Title: Despatch/Warehouse Assistant

Location: Nicola Jane, Southern Gate, Terminus Road, Chichester, PO19 8SE
Salary: £14,500 per year
Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week, normally 9.00 am - 5.00 pm, Monday - Friday, every other week 9.00am - 5.30pm
Benefits: 20 days holiday increasing by 1 day per year to a max of 25 days (28 days including bank holidays)
- To ensure orders are despatched promptly on the day of ordering, where possible
- To receipt in deliveries from suppliers
- To replenish stock
- To maintain a clean and tidy warehouse
- Complete orders to Nicola Jane shops as requested
- To carry out stock checks as required
- To liaise with postal services
- To regularly assess if we are using the best/cheapest method of posting
- Process postal claims/lost in transits
- To inform Customer Service Manager of any issues arising

Previous experience of working in a warehouse/despatch department is an advantageous but not essential.
This position will require a small amount of driving so a full UK driver’s license is also required (transport supplied).
Nicola Jane is the UK’s largest supplier of mastectomy swimwear and lingerie to women who have had breast cancer. We are a friendly mail-order company based in Chichester with 3 specialist shops in Chichester, London and Leeds. We have a strong online growth and we’re now looking for a Despatch/Warehouse Assistant to join our team.
To help restore confidence and femininity after breast cancer and we aim to give the highest standards of service and care in this very niche market, where sensitivity and discretion are essential.
Reporting to the Despatch Manager you will join our small and friendly team. Responsible for daily despatching of orders and assist in ensuring the smooth running of our despatch department. Successful applicant will be dynamic, hardworking and able to use their own initiative. Excellent organisational and time management skills are essential.
In order to work effectively in a changing environment, flexibility is required from the post-holder. Any other tasks that may be requested will be at the same level of responsibility and terms and conditions of employment.
