Despatch Administrator responsibilities will include:
* Efficiently co-ordinate the despatch function to achieve customer satisfaction levels in line with company objectives
*To coordinate current customer orders and anticipate and plan future capacity requirements
*Liaise with Team Leaders if required to achieve your continuous improvement objectives
*Ensure Quality procedures and standards are adhered to and any problems are addressed using appropriate corrective action measures
*Encourage self-direction amongst peers but provides guidance and clear direction as required. It is essential the individual fosters an environment of empowerment, thereby freeing up time to work proactively on improving the systems that contribute to the effective working of the despatch department
*Good communications skills essential to facilitate cross departmental working relationships e.g. sales, account managers, operations team leaders etc
*Report writing skills necessary in order to report progress on a regular basis
*Be able to drive continuous improvement and demonstrate understanding and experience from previous continuous improvement projects
*Good general level of education (degree qualifications not essential), with an attitude to develop people skills
*Computer literate (Microsoft Office/Outlook)
*Excellent communication skills
*Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
*Computer literacy preferred. Experience working with MRP/ERP would be a distinct advantage
*Experience with IFS business system
*Working with business systems packages e.g. MRP/ERP etc.
*Experienced in working within a busy office environment
*Reliable and trustworthy
*Credible, self-assured, resourceful and persistent
*Excellent organisational skills
*Team player who is equally capable of using initiative
*Good interpersonal skills
*Methodical, structured and tidy
