This is a really great opportunity to join a specialist division of a major commercial insurance broker, dealing with general commercial insurance risks connected to a specific sector.
This role will focus on new business; not cold calling. You will be responding to incoming enquiries and also following up leads passed to you by the telemarketing team which have been pre-qualified.
Once a lead has been passed to you, you will contact the client to establish a relationship, take the necessary details and then liaise with in-house underwriting team to secure terms and a competitive premium for the client. It will then be your responsibility to speak to the client to win the business.
Ideal applicants will have a good level of commercial insurance knowledge, enjoy speaking to new clients, be able to secure commitment and not afraid to "ask for the business". Progression towards CII qualifications would be preferred although not essential.
As well as being paid an excellent basic salary, there will be a performance related commission structure to enable you to generate additional personal income + comprehensive benefits.
