Secondary Design Technology (Food Tech & Product Design) Teacher required – September 2018 – Blackburn
£100 - £165 per day
This exciting Secondary Design Technology Teacher position available for a long term (and potentially permanent) position and starting in September 2018 is the perfect opportunity to join a vibrant secondary school in the Blackburn area.
Do you love creating things? As a passionate Design Technology Teacher are you able to engage young people in learning the practical skills that will help them succeed?
This Design Technology Teacher position will teach a variable timetable of both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 class groups. The succesful candidate will be required to teach both KS4 food technology and KS4 product design so experience teaching both of those areas is preferred.

Teachers of all experience levels will be considered for the role, including NQTs
To be considered for the role you should have:
Recognised teaching qualification PGCE or equivalent (QTS).
The ability to quickly build positive relationships with both staff and students.
Strong subject knowledge of the Design Technology curriculum including the new GCSE
Reference details will be requested prior to registration.
Current DBS registered with the DBS Update Service – if you do not have a DBS registered online PK Education will provide full assistance in getting you one.
