Design Engineer working for a well established engineering business in Manchester.

Your new company
Your new company is a well established engineering business in Manchester. They specialise in a fluid flow technology. You will form part of their high pressure pumps team which focus on supplying the mining and industrial segments of their business profile.

Your new role
In your new role you will work within the overall engineering team and contribute strongly to the design and support of high pressure pumps and systems. You will provide engineering input including concept design, detail design, GA drawings, P&ID's and manufacturing drawings. You will manage projects from conception through to completion whilst looking for ways to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role you will need to have around 5 years experience in a design/mechanical engineering role. You need to have experience of the design of hydraulic pumps or valves and understand variable speed drives and motors. You need to have a mechanical engineering qualification and it also desirable if you have exposure to the oil & gas sector.
