Our client is a long established specialist company in the design, development and manufacture of PTFE products and components serving a broad range of industries world-wide including laboratory, pharmaceutical, chemical processing, food & drink, semi-conductor and aerospace.

They are looking to recruit a Design and Development Engineer with proven experience who's overall purpose will be to be a technical expert on PTFE and PTFE processing techniques.
The role will be responsible for the design, development and evaluation of a broad range of new and existing PTFE products, specialising in compression moulding, isostatic moulding, encapsulation and fusion. Also responsible for the design and development of PTFE manufacturing processes including the moulding environment, moulding equipment and moulding tooling; and all supporting systems and documentation.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in product and process engineering / design and development, design of manufacturing processes and equipment, experience of producing engineering drawings by hand or by using CAD drawing systems and good working knowledge of electricals, pneumatics, hydraulics and a variety of materials. A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Science, Physics or similar is essential.
