We are now recruiting for a passionate Design Architect who is either Part II qualified or recently Part III qualified to assist with small to medium sized residential projects to join our dynamic team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties, but not limited to:

  • The creation of automated Revit scheduling for construction;
  • The creation of parametric Revit families, templates and standards;
  • Assisting in Revit training of colleagues;
  • Taking charge of the Revit models across studio;
  • Preparing construction documentation;
  • Discussing the ideas, objectives, requirements and budget of a project and in some cases helping to select a site;
  • Consulting with other professionals about design;
  • Preparing and presenting feasibility reports and design proposals to the client;
  • Using IT in design and project management, specifically using computer-aided design software;
  • Keeping within financial budgets and deadlines;
  • Producing detailed workings, drawings and specifications;
  • Preparing tender applications and presentations;
  • Negotiating with contractors and other professionals;
  • Taking control of client projects from start to finish;
  • Carrying out regular site visits to check on progress and ensure that the project is running on time and to budget;
  • Resolving any problems and issues that may arise during construction.

The successful candidate must have extensive, demonstrable experience of undertaking the above duties in a similar role, and must also meet the following requirements:

  • Well educated with a degree in a relevant field;
  • RIBA Part II qualified or recently RIBA Part III qualified, or equivalent architectural qualification;
  • Formal qualification/s to Advanced level of training in Revit 2018
  • The ability to work across the RIBA stages;
  • Strong design conceptual skills;
  • The ability conduct effective research independently and in depth;
  • Experience working with sustainable building technologies and techniques;
  • Strong freehand drawing and sketching skills;
  • Outstanding graphical representation;
  • Advanced Level of Skill in Revit with the ability to provide training to others on Revit;
  • IT literate with extensive experience in using the following software; Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign, Lumion, Autocad, VRay and Rhino;
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of other professionals, as well as with our client base;
  • Good design and drawing skills to demonstrate your flair for architecture;
  • Sound analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Good organisational and negotiation skills;
  • A high-level of academic and workplace achievement - evidence of awards etc would be beneficial;
  • Ideally holding a valid driving licence.
