Teaching Personnel are working alongside our client secondary school in Rochdale, to recruit for a Teacher of Design Technology. This full time position is a January 2019 start and will continue until the end of the academic year initially.

The Technology team consists of 10 teaching staff with a range of specialisms including resistant materials, product design, electronics, textiles and engineering. There are also two full-time technicians within the department. This position is ideal for a newly qualified DT teacher, and the school are more than happy to support an induction year for any applicants in their first year of teaching. Due to the nature of the school, there are always opportunities for career progression and the school will provide regular professional development to incoming staff members.
Our partner school is an average sized mixed comprehensive with just over 1000 pupils on roll. The large majority of pupils who attend are from White British backgrounds with the percentage of those who speak English as an Additional Language being lower than the national average. Located in Rochdale, close to the Oldham border, it is only a short drive away from areas of North Manchester such as Crumpsall and Prestwich and has excellent accessibility from the M60. Further, there are also direct public transport links to the school via bus and train from Manchester and Rochdale.
