Reed Education are working with a Secondary School in the Doncaster area who are requiring a Design and Technology to join them on a full time basis from September 2018.
The school are keen to find the right teacher, therefore welcome applications from NQTs and experienced practitioners alike.
Within the Design and Technology department you will be supported by the DT Technician and the Head of Department who has been with the academy for a number of years. You will have access to a wide range of tools and equipment which you can utilise in your lessons. Throughout the subject students will develop a wide range of skills that include; problem solving, communication, working independently and as part of a team to manufacture a complete and effective end product.
As Reed Education’s Secondary Consultant in Scunthorpe I have been working with the Academy for the past two academic years and the feedback I receive from my teachers is always positive. The leadership within the academy are extremely supportive and are always on hand should you require them. From previous visits I have had to the academy I have seen how friendly and welcome everyone are making the academy a pleasant place to be.
The successful candidate will:
-Be able to teach Design and Technology across Key Stage 3 and 4
-Have experience and in depth knowledge of Engineering
-Use enthusiasm and be resourceful to ensure that students are engaged and excel within the subject
