Key Details: I am recruiting for a Deputy Ward Manager to who possesses a passion for delivering exceptional patient care and who has the ability to assist managing a Ward within a Private Hospital. Location: South of Hampshire, within easy access via Train, Bus and car with car park
Salary: £35,000 - £37,000 per annum / £17.94 - £18.97 per hour based on 37.5 hours per week. (negotiable depending on experience )
Bonus: Annual bonus provided.
Hours: Full Time - 37.5
Contract Type: Permanent

Further Details about the role: I am looking to recruit Registered Nurse who is able to contribute towards the management of the Ward by deputising for the Ward Manager as and when required. As a Deputy Ward Manager you will be required to actively promote practice and educational development at ward level. The successful nurse will be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for the patients. Many key duties with include Create and maintain effective communication within the multi-disciplinary team and all external agencies facilitating all aspects of the patient care while working in partnership with patients and their families. As a Nurse in a deputy role you will be required to ensure the ward is adequately and safely staffed within the agreed establishment. This position will give you the opportunity to demonstrate your expert knowledge and skills in use of equipment updating and implementing new practices in conjunction with Ward Manager and ensure all equipment and resources are available to perform procedures according to the individual needs of the patient. This opportunity will also require you to lead, delegate and liaise with all members of the multi-disciplinary team ensuring appropriate skill levels and experience are available to ensure a safe patient journey through the department.
Person Specification: I am looking for the successful applicant for this Deputy Ward Manager role to be a registered Nurse with a current NMC registration without any restrictions. A minimum of 5 years post registration experience within surgical / orthopaedic experience. When applying for this opportunity please ensure you have experience within a band 6 position and /or management experience in a surgical setting. I am looking for someone who can demonstrate an awareness of change management, I require a nurse who have evidence of personal development and has a proven record of offering mentorship.
