Reporting to the Registered Care Home Manager, the Deputy Manager will be responsible for assisting the Registered Care Home Manager to deliver high quality nursing and care of our residents. The successful candidate will work with and monitor the performance of staff, ensuring additional training and support is provided. The Deputy Manager will also be responsible ensuring that good relationships are built and maintained with residents, families and members of the multi-disciplinary team.
To assist and carry responsibility for the clinical management of the home during the day.
Develop the skills of the care team.
Promote and maintain a high standard of nursing care.
To ensure effective induction of all staff, together with clinical supervision of trained staff, mentorship and assessment of student nurses and induction of new care staff.
To work within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and the Commission for Social Care Inspection standards.
Have a clear and thorough knowledge of the CQC standards.
Must have experience at supervisory level within a nursing home.
- Previous experience of deputising/leading a team within a Care Home or similar environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- An RGN/RMN qualification.
- A valid NMC pin number.
- Satisfactory Disclosure completion upon successful application.
- Nurse Mentorship qualification
Salary starts at £35,000 + plus (Negotiable Depending on Experience)
