An exciting role as the Deputy Manager at a charity-owned retreat in a beautiful countryside near Atherstone, North Warwickshire.
As Deputy Manager, your main responsibility is to support the Manager and manage the catering, hospitality and administration of the retreat ensuring that consistent service levels are maintained. You will need to ensure that guests have a safe and enjoyable visit in a welcoming, friendly and well-maintained environment.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, hard-working, responsible and capable of making decisions. You must have self-discipline and leadership and you must enjoy meeting people.
Strong communication skills will be needed as this role is customer-facing and includes assisting with guest bookings and event scheduling, as well as being able to clearly define working duties and priorities for the staff.
You will need to be an excellent team player and be able to lead from the front; we are ideally looking for someone with experience in line-managing a small housekeeping/kitchen team.
When on duty, you will provide a safe and secure environment, ensuring that all health and safety, and food-safety requirements are met. This includes completing and recording daily checks
Cooking experience and a bar licence are desirable, but training can be given if necessary.
You will work flexibly (7 days on/ 7 days off) with the Manager with a need to remain overnight on the premises while working with 24 hour responsibility for all aspects of the Centre. Flexibility is essential to cover absences and holidays.
On-site living accommodation will be provided.
The position is permanent and full-time, and includes a non-contributory pension.
