An opportunity to join a thriving Court of Protection team in a regional law firm based in Swansea. The team deals with Clients who are vulnerable and most have suffered traumatic brain injuries as a result of catastrophic accidents.

The role is challenging, rewarding and varied - every client, every day is different. The candidate needs to be patient and compassionate. The candidate will be responsible for running their own caseload and making day to day decisions regarding the client’s financial needs.

Main duties will include;

  • Preparing applications to the Court of Protection;

  • Preparing and submitting annual Deputy Reports;

  • Gathering information and instructing Accountants to prepare annual tax returns;

  • Ensuring all clients receive all benefits available to them, preparing and managing monthly budgets and annual forecasts and auctioning financial advisors recommendations;

  • Finding suitable properties for purchase or lease and attending to all aspects of that property, including adaptation, insurance, repairs;

  • Purchasing specialist equipment;

  • Liaising with third party professionals;

  • Keeping the Deputy fully updated on decisions made.
