Deputy Home Manager - NMC Pin Essential!

Proud to be recruiting on behalf of a quality focused & growing care home operator for one of their purpose built, CQC "Good" rated care homes in Winchester.

The home is set in the beautiful suburbs of Winchester with excellent transport links, the home has been specifically designed to care for older people and also provides supported living in a number of bungalows on the same site where residents are invited to visit the home for daily activities, dining and housekeeping services.

As the Deputy Manager you will be responsible for the care provided in the home, you will lead, supervise and mentor the care delivery team and provide guidance and support when needed. You will also recruit new members of staff and carry out clinical assessments of potential residents and ensuring staff can provide the appropriate care.

Core Responsibilities:

·To lead and coach the nurses and care delivery team
·Carry out regular audits inc medication, care planning, supervisions
·Complete individual assessments for potential residents ensuring care needs can be met
·Liaise with relatives & health care professionals ensuring residents are safe and cared for
·Deputise in the Home Managers absence

Requirements:

·Nurse qualified with an active NMC Pin
·Experience of working in a supervisory role in a care home setting
·Excellent working knowledge of current legislation including CQC, DoLs, MCA, Care Act
·Good leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively
·Confident & able to carry out assessments of potential new residents
·Can do attitude with quality standards always in mind
