I am currently working with an outstanding Primary School based in Leyton, East London who are looking to appoint a Deputy Head for the new academic year. The School is a six form entry primary school and you will have to ensure the delivery of high quality teaching and learning opportunities through coaching and/or mentoring.
You will work in close partnership with the Head Teacher to facilitate the smooth running of the school including leading the day to day operation of the school as well as deputising in the absence of the Head Teacher.
The successful candidate will maintain best practice, providing a clear direction for improvement in the school and ensuring that policies and agreed practice are consistently implemented. You will support the Head Teacher in the self-evaluation programme and the generation, implementation and review of the Learning Improvement Plan and other necessary documentation, taking a lead where required. To take a lead role in the organisation of the Performance Management process and to lead in the CPD of all staff in line with staff development needs and with school and national requirements
You will lead in the overall development and management of an innovative curriculum to ensure high quality learning opportunities. You will lead by example, demonstrating outstanding teaching skills (especially at KS2), excellent organisation, high expectations, culminating in children’s excellent attainment. You will also take a lead role in monitoring the quality of teaching and learning across the school, sharing best practice and implementing improvement strategies where necessary.
