Deputy Head, Brand and Creative

Our extremely prestigious, award winning client is now recruiting for a Deputy Head, Brand and Creative just 20 minutes out of Salisbury.

Reports to: Head of Marketing

Direct Reports: Senior Graphic Designer * 2, Creative Assistant, Video and Media Officer, Frontend

Developer (Dotted line to Head of IT)

Principal Responsibilities:

The Deputy Head works as the Senior Creative Strategist for the department

directing the brand development, creative content collateral and ensuring unified

messages to targeted audiences. They own developing the brand strategy

alongside the Head of Marketing and developing the look and feel of the brand

to ensure the creative appeals to all customer segments.

The Deputy Head is instrumental to improving the conversion rate through the

website, quote engine and delivering a best in class online customer journey. The

role manages a cross-functional creative team of Video, Photography, UX/UI,

graphic designers and manages the staging and production queue for the

website. In addition, they work alongside the IT department to develop the look

and feel for the customer portal, quote engine and claims system.

Develop and ensure the integrity of the Brand Strategy across all marketing

channels and internal communications, by:

- Leading the development of the brand look and feel to ensure relevance

for a segmented audience of pet lovers

- Analysing the brand’s current strategy and highlighting areas of

weakness or conflicting messages, and propose new directions to remain

current

- Championing the brand internally; making sure all elements of the

company understand the brand and its’ goals

- Working closely with all parts of the company to ensure commercial

goals of the brand are met

- Drive awareness and a brand strategy that advocates for the welfare of

all animals and pet companions

- Project managing and prioritizing the creative design queue of requests

from both internal and external clients

To develop the look and feel for all creative campaigns to acquire new and retain

customers by:

- Full ownership and management of all content and creative adherence of the

brand on the website, quote engine, customer portal

- Coordinating with relevant marketing agencies to coordinate the creative

for campaign and TV Commercials

- Full ownership of the end to end online customer journey across all web

presences - website, quote engine, customer portal, etc. to enable our customers to make an informed decision and ensure it aligns with sales, customer service and other relevant departments

- Ensure all video, photography and written content is compliant with

financial regulations

- To create and/or adapt existing content to work across digital, media and

print channels (website, social media, HTML emails, blog)

- To advise on and develop engaging interactive content and techniques that

maximise the potential of customer acquisition and engagement

- Ensure the charitable ethos story is enshrined in all creative and

messaging where appropriate

- Sourcing suppliers and products that fit with the brand for events, PR and

existing customers

- Providing to develop a strong mobile experience to drive web / mobile

web strategy development

- Ensure innovation and best practices are used across the online

customer journey by using Heatmaps and other tools to track, analysis

and report on website and quote engine performance

Key relationships:

- To work with the Deputy Head, Marketing Strategy Manager and Head of

Marketing to develop the brand messaging and visual content

- External agencies and technology vendors

Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience

- Proven work experience as a creative leader or brand manager with direct

experience in working with a team of creatives to delivery campaigns

- Strong knowledge of brand strategy and creation; ability to provide out of the

box thinking on campaigns to remain relevant to today’s market and provide a

distinctive brand

- Balance of strategic skills to identify marketing opportunities and trends as well

as tactical pragmatic marketing implementation skills;

- Broad strategic analysis skill set complimented with a detail orientation approach

- Demonstrable experience building strategic plans

- Comfortable with analytics to understand how creative drives conversion metrics

- Demonstrable experience with marketing campaigns and web technologies

- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and team management experience

- Broad-based business thinker who can collaborate effectively with peers as well as executive functional and senior business line leaders to achieve objectives

Desired:

- In-depth knowledge of the pet insurance industry or working in the

financial sector

- Knowledge and ability to drive retention and loyalty campaigns
