The Company

Our client works with some fantastic household name brands across Retail, Shopper Marketing and Brand Development. The studio includes a team of 33, in an autonomous agency of 100, within a global group of 2,000 people. They are a multi-skilled team of talented individuals: growing, evolving, well-respected for what they do and how they do it. They truly care about finding the right work/life balance and providing mentoring, guidance and support. Their location is 5 minutes from Junction 15 of the M1, around 1 hour north of London.

The Role

As Deputy Creative Director, you will be responsible for the delivery of creative strategy, delivery and leadership across a given breadth of a key account within the agency. Initially, you will shadow the Group Creative Director to service, develop and grow the creative direction needs of your client, and the Design and Design Development team.

You will regularly attend client meetings in London with the Group Account Director to service the client and help establish the creative briefs and present work. You will collaborate on initial ideas with the Group Creative Director, sometimes taking the concept task yourself, and then directing and leading the Designers and Artworkers to deliver the final output. You will play a key role in how each project is navigated through the studio team, supporting the Designers with tone of voice, messaging and conceptual solutions for shopper marketing and brand development.

About You

You consider yourself a conceptual thinker, wordsmith, visual crafter, story teller and an influencer of ideas who knows how to tap into a range of target markets, with strong awareness of strategic marketing comms.

You can quickly create loose sketches and scamps to communicate your ideas. Also, highly skilled in Adobe CC with designing and visualising executions for brand development and shopper marketing campaign platforms.

You have strong service-led experience from within an agency environment and are adept at getting under the skin of the brief and managing expectations for your clients and colleagues, mainly through verbal guidance, regular check-ins, scoping and communicating your approach before implementing, and post-rationale write ups.

You display original thinking high profile brands where the content represents your own original thinking and solutions.

You thrive on a full workload and are open to new challenges, and enjoy bringing positive energy to your role day to day, showing drive, passion, confidence, and respected leadership skills.
