Deputy Care Manager ~ Gosport
Our client based in Gosport is seeking an experienced, committed and qualified Deputy Care Home Manager to play an active role in building upon the success of their 44 bed home.
The home in Gosport is currently looking after 44 residents. The care home has respite care facilities, is proud of its catering team and manages a varied activity schedule for residents, seven days a week.
A track record of delivering excellence in residential care and qualifications is desirable. Ideally you'll have a good degree in a social care discipline or an NVQ level 4/5 in health and social care, or equivalent. Our client provides extensive training and actively supports continuous professional development. With a genuine interest in people you'll be looking to make a long-term positive contribution to the home, the residents and the team.
Requirements for the Deputy Care Manager's position are:
A demonstrable understanding of the needs of older people in a care home setting.
CQC standards and requirements for care, safeguarding and reporting.
Knowledge of the Care Act 2014, DOLS and the 2008 Health and Social Care Act and the associated 2010 regulations.
Experience of delivering high standards of physical and emotional care and promoting an approach to care which centres on the health and well-being of residents.
Excellent communication, planning and reporting skills.
Experience of working with external agencies.
A can-do, solution focussed work ethic, with a professional, approachable, caring and conscientious outlook.
