Deputy/Assistant Headteacher Required for Immediate Start - Basildon Area

Are you an experienced and dynamic leader with a passion for making a difference in education? We are currently seeking a Deputy or Assistant Headteacher for a fantastic opportunity at a well-regarded school in the Basildon area.

This is a full-time position to begin ASAP,for the sumer term.

About the Role: As Deputy or Assistant Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Headteacher in leading the school. You will be help oversee curriculum development, staff management, pupil well-being, and the day-to-day running of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and deputise for the Headteacher in their leadership responsibilities.
• Help with key areas of school improvement, including curriculum design, teaching and learning, and assessment.
• Help ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning across the school.
• Monitor and evaluate the progress of students and work to close any achievement gaps.
• Provide guidance and support to staff, fostering a culture of professional development.
• Work closely with parents, carers, and the wider community to create a positive school environment.
• Ensure the safeguarding and well-being of all students.

About You:

• Proven experience in a leadership role within a school setting.
• Strong understanding of the national curriculum and educational standards.
• A passion for improving the educational outcomes and lives of students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate both staff and students.
• A commitment to ensuring all pupils thrive in a safe and supportive environment.
• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and a relevant leadership qualification are desirable.
