An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for one of the expanding express parcel carrier companies in the UK. The role is a DEPOT SALES MANAGER'S role based at our clients CORNWALL site and is a dual role with a 70/30 split New Business / Account Management

The Area is all the PL and TR postcodes and you will be required to be in the Depot at least once a day so will need to be fairly local

Job Summary:

Overall Purpose of Role - To ensure that their home Depot exceeds its revenue budget, by:
* Exceeding their personal new business budget/target
* Managing the customer base with relevant Depot colleagues to ensure minimal attrition
* Building close and effective working relationships with a network of contacts within prospective customers
* Identifying and qualifying customer opportunities for new product sales
* Developing and broadening relationship with existing customers while identifying and qualifying opportunities for new product sales

Main Responsibilities:
* Work with the Depot General Manager, Regional Director & Regional Sales Manager to implement the sales strategy and business plan for the Depot
* Define target list of customer prospects based on clearly defined criteria that maximises return for our client
* Achieve and exceed personal and Depot targets in line with budget
* Working with the Depot General Manager to manage customer relationships by engaging in personal ownership of the customers
* Demonstrate strong knowledge of the product portfolio and all associated features and benefits and to tailor those benefits to the needs of the customer
* Track performance of accounts, opportunity and scope to build and maintain customer relations
* Submit accurate and timely sales reports
* Attend team meetings and contribute as necessary on own individual performance, prepare for manager review meetings and complete sales activity reports accurately and on time
* Use the sales tools in line with the agreed sales process to maintain and develop sales pipeline and customer information

Sales Manager - DEVON and CORNWALL Depot
· Dual role but a 70/30 split New business/ Acc Management
· Area is PL, EX, TQ and TR
· Required to be in the Depot at least once a day so will need to be fairly local
· Salary £30,000 depending on experience plus a lucrative commission scheme OTE potential £20k plus, on top of basic (this is minimum providing target of £4,500 new business rev per month is met monthly)
· They would prefer a freight back ground if possible but will consider Industry related, switched on individuals
· Would like people who can profile and put a quote together themselves
· New business hunter with an ability to manage the top 20 accounts at the Depot

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Extensive experience within either the Parcel, Pallet, Freight industry or Retail, FMCG sector
* Strong sales skills (prospecting, qualifying, networking and campaign management)
* Detailed understanding of sales process and demonstration of world-class sales rigor, hunger and determination
* Proven track record of closing major opportunities. Professional sales and negotiating training
* Proven sales ability with historic success at exceeding new business targets, whilst excelling at customer retention through professional account management, development and planning skills
* Excellent presentation skills
* Problem solving abilities; able to facilitate discussions
* Able to travel within designated territory and able to work with the minimum of supervision
* Microsoft skills (Excel, Word, Email, Access, Power Point)

* Profile Reviews all up to date within the customer base at home Depot
