Deployment Engineer - Contract

Illuminet Recruitment are currently recruiting for Deployment Engineers in Epsom. The successful candidates will be on site, setting up and deploying client desktops and laptops, following a specific script.

Responsibilities:

1.Deploy systems as per designated schedule to identified desk location.

2.Communicate with individual users on deployment issues.

3.Deploy the system as per predefined customer/client process & standards including but not limited to backing up and restoring a users individual environment.

4.Test the system against the designated acceptance criteria and obtain signoff.

5.Where possible resolve encountered issues.

6.Escalate unresolved issues to Deployment team leader and if not resolved to the Support Desk.

7.Ensure designated schedule is adhered to.

8.Ensure areas deployed to are left in a clean and tidy state and that any drop sheets/collateral are left with user.

9.Return replaced equipment and any packaging to designated storage area.

10.Ensure Customer satisfaction levels are high.

The successful Deployment Engineer will demonstrate:

  • Basic trouble-shooting skills on desktops and laptops
  • Basic problem recognition on common desktop applications and operating systems
  • Basic network and desktop configuration and installation
  • May exhibit low level only network experience (Microsoft Networking) but may not have any certification.
  • Perform tasks in relatively pre-determined job scope capacity.
